Youth Section
Come and join the HDA Youth!
Youth are eligible from the age of 12 to 21 years.
We have a variety of activities throughout the year and attend all the major youth rallies including the international.
We have a youth test in September which when passed allows camping at a reduced rate after the age of 21.
Junior Youth Section
The Junior Youth Section welcomes children from the age of 8 years, till they join the main youth.
Come and pitch your tent with us and join in the fun.
Youth Events
SUMMER REGION YOUTH RALLY
May 8th-10thAutherthaws Farm, Aughton, Selby
Winston our host is pleased to welcome us back to this popular venue. A secluded farm, with no neighbours, and a nice flat field!
The marquee will be erected for the evening discos, and toilet tents will be put up as there are no facilities at this meet, so come fully equipped! There will be breakfast sandwiches provided both mornings and a ″meat″ roast for tea on Saturday. Howard will again be running a tuck shop on site, so bring some cash. Fees for the weekend will be approx. £12.
The site will open at 4pm on Friday and will close at 2pm on Sunday, so please arrange collection for this time. Can we please ask parents to not come before this time as you will not be allowed on site until after the closing ceremony has finished...
We will be there with the caravans so we can help you with anything you may need over the weekend, we may even provide Saturday lunch if you want it!
There will be sports on Saturday so come prepared to play volleyball (all), netball (girls) or football (all) we need your help to win a trophy for the D.A.
Can we also remind you that apart from the main 2 fields, all other area are OUT OF BOUNDS and nobody should leave site without our permission.
NATIONAL YOUTH RALLY
3RD-5TH JulyLittleborough Cricket Club, Hollingworth Lake

Since the venue is in our area there will be no coach transport laid on to this event, however if anyone has any problems getting there then let us know. Fees for the weekend will be £12.50 and we need your booking for this event by the region youth meet. (booking form here).
The site will open at 12 on the Friday and closes at 2pm so please arrange collection for this time.
Over the weekend there will be disco′s both night, Saturdays theme is ′villains and heroes′ so dress to impress!
Saturday morning there will be the usual inter region sports, and then on Saturday afternoon there will be ′fun′ water sports so come prepared to get wet! Sunday will be Austin trophy time, followed by the closing ceremony.
There will be full catering on site this year, they have issued a full menu for the event and there is plenty of choice and it is all reasonably priced, eg: breakfast sandwiches £1.90, pie n pea type lunch £2.50, curry, lasagne type tea £2.50.
Please note that there is a very poor phone signal at this site, so if you do need to contact home and struggle to get in touch, let us know and we will try and find an available land line.
Please let us know if you need to leave site over the weekend.
There is to be a website set up dedicated to this event, so keep checking the internet and we will let you know when we hear that it is up and running.
October Youth Event
The National Council have given this the go ahead to be a National Event and the Southern Region are going to be running it this year. We suspect that it will be at Thorpe Park , Oct 16th-18th, but this is not confirmed. There will be coach travel laid on to get you to it.More details will follow when we have them, but are promised to be another great weekend to end the camping year!
