Youth Diary 2010



Region Youth Rally is at Winstons May 7th- 9th.

Winston our host is pleased to welcome us back to this popular venue. A secluded farm, with no neighbours, and a nice flat field!

The marquee will be erected for the evening discos, and toilet tents will be put up as there are no facilities at this meet, so come fully equipped! There will be breakfast sandwiches provided both mornings and a “meat” roast for tea on Saturday. The site will open at 4pm on Friday and will close at 2pm on Sunday, so please arrange collection for this time. Can we please ask parents to not come before this time as you will not be allowed on site until after the closing ceremony has finished.

There will be sports on Saturday so come prepared to play volleyball (all), netball (girls) or football (all) we need your help to win a trophy for the D.A.

Can we also remind you that apart from the main 2 fields, all other area are OUT OF BOUNDS and nobody should leave site without our permission.

For those old enough to drink alcohol, we ask that you only bring alcohol for yourself and do not bring any spirits on site.

National Youth Rally Hosted by South East Region July 2nd- 4th.

Toad Hall River farm. The cost of the coach is £29. If you wish to travel on the coach £29 none refundable deposit is required by the region youth rally. The cost of the camping is £12.50 payable at the time of camping

York Race Course Easter
There will be a youth area.
This year we are hopefully going to try and do some more fund raising events, to try raise money for Helsinki 2011. We will do a car boot sale at York, (Easter). Can you all try and collect as much items that could be sold at car boot, have a root around your house and see what you have got that you don’t want. I also need youth to come and help on the saturday morning with the car boot sale. The more money we raise the cheaper it is for you to go to Helsinki. You can bring items to our house or vinces house or bring to a HDA meet or even to York. We need as much items as possible.

Goodwinns Farm, Wintersett April 23rd- 25th April
There will be a youth area. We will run through map reading and compass work. We will also go on a walk using map and compass. Bring sensible foot wear.


Littleborough Sports Club May 14th-16th
There will be a Youth area and also we will be running through the preparation and cooking of meals for the youth test. All youth wanting to take their test must bring a menu and food to cook.

Bolton Abbey June 11th- 13th
There will be a youth area, we will run through map reading and also go on a walk using our maps and compasses.

Marsh Farm Shepley July 9th- 11th
There will be a youth area, we will run through packing your rucksack properly and first aid.
