Lesleys Latest AGM 2012

Welcome to our Spring Edition of the Ram’s Head.

Our New Year Meet was extremely successful and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped in any way at all. This meet gives our members both the chance to do their bit in running our DA and also to get something back in return such as our suppers, sandwiches etc. Thanks especially to our ladies for helping with the coffee mornings, suppers and afternoon teas.
People don’t always realise all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes – Janice spent hours baking for us, making cakes, scones and Christmas cakes; it’s these things which make our meets so special and make our visitors want to keep coming back!

Hopefully, we can now start to put the dark winter nights behind us and look forward to enjoying our spring and summer camping season. We have a good variety of meets on offer this year, some old, some new and some that we have been to in the past and are now
re-visiting. Working extremely hard, John has pulled together an excellent programme of meets for the forthcoming year.

As you all know, our AGM is fast approaching. Sadly, we are losing three committee members this year, Tony Fuller- PRO, Susan Pearson – Events Co-ordinator and Michael Womersley – Regalia. All three have given up their time and expertise to help run our DA; their shoes will need filling. If anyone would like to join the H.D.A.
Committee, please come and have a chat about what we do. We only have eight meetings a year – once we have the programme sorted out we usually have lots of offers of help from our members. We have had interest shown for the PRO position and also for catering, this is fantastic, but it still leaves a few roles to cover. Committee positions are not decided until after the AGM when we have our first meeting, so why not give it a go….

Last but not least, could we offer our congratulations to Daniel Pearson and his partner Stacey on the birth of their new baby son Jenson.
Also celebrating is Frank Pyrah, soon reaching the big “50” and his daughter Sarah who will be “21”. Congratulations to both.
