We are now settling nicely into our new camping year with hopefully, signs of better weather on the horizon. Once the clocks go forward, you feel as if your spirits are lifted and spring is definitely here.
We’ve just had our first time ever meet at Eden Camp, an excellent venue with a close proximity to both Malton and Pickering. I thought it was good value for money as, if you take off the normal entrance fees to the museum, and go on both day’s, your camping fees are covered.
Once again, our AGM looms ever closer. We are running our committee with extremely limited numbers at the moment and would greatly welcome some new blood, particularly from some of our younger members. They are the future of the DA and in order to keep going we need their input. There are several positions to fill, and, with only about eight meetings per year I would urge some of you to have a think about it.
It’s not long to our Easter Meet at York – a 40’s theme for this year. Sorry if we seem to be repeating things a bit but with H.D.A. organising the Region Meet there is not a lot of time left for other things.
Plans are going well and we hope to see a good turn out from Huddersfield members in support of the meet.
On this note, we are trying to organise goody bags, so if any of you can help with this in any way it would be brilliant!
