PRO update – October 2015

Hello Friends and Fellow Campers
Time seems to be moving along very quickly and we seem to have got to October very quickly this year. We have been very lucky with the weather this Autumn and have enjoyed some really good meets with HDA.

It has been good to meet and welcome new members and visitors to our meets and we do hope to see them camping with us again.

We had our latest committee meeting last week and were very busy planning for future events. John Inman (our Booking Officer) (e-mail ) is currently taking bookings for Doncaster Aeroventure meet ( just a few places left ) and for our New Year Meet.

This year for the New Year Meet we have the option of either booking for the 3 day New Year meet with the option of an extra 1 or 2 days to make it a 4 or 5 day meet. Christine has planned a really good programme with some old favourites but also some new ideas for your enjoyment. We are also intending to hold a party for our younger members at this meet. As a special treat for them. New Year Programme available on booking.

Sadly we have had to take the decision to cancel the Halloween firework meet, as due to very small number of bookings, it was not a viable meet to run The York Christmas shopping meet is now fully booked with a waiting list for cancellations.

Christine is also finalising menu choices for the Dinner dance so if you have not booked you do need to contact her a.s.a.p.

John Sheddon our sites officer has let us know that he will be standing down as Booking officer at the next AGM.
John has done the job for the last 8 years and has taken us to some lovely places. We will be needing a new Sites officer to book sites for us from next March. John has said he will be willing to help anyone new, so if you think this may be the job for you please have a word with either Roman or John.

The club Head quarters have asked us to thank everyone who supported the last NFOL. They are now advertising the 2016 NFOL (25th-29th August 2016), which is being hosted by Cambrian and Wyvern Region at Malvern.

There is a full programme of entertainment for all the

family including an Antiques valuation day wit TV’s Mark Stacy and Kate Bliss. The meet theme is “World of Movies” and costs £72 for the 5 day meet.
